Hey Everybody! This is my Blog page where you can stay updated on my trip and what God is doing both in my heart and in the people around me! This is my first post, I hope you enjoy! Thank you for your prayers!
Adventures in missions and World Race is based in Gainesville Georgia. I arrived at the training camp base September 2nd and it has been a crazy week!
Each day we have been in and out of teachings and sessions constantly. We’ve gotten to hear many different speakers talk on things such as Truth, the Gospel and how to share it, unity and community, how to make the gospel the filter for our lives as we learn and hear new things, Intimacy with the Lord, The Holy Spirit, and how to hear from God. Each session has come with a new light on the Lord in my heart and a new passion to grow in him. It has honestly been an overwhelming time to have the Lord invading our hearts so deeply while we’re also opening our hearts to each other in our group. Turning to the Bible has been our foundation and safe place in this time and it has cultivated a safe and encouraging environment for each of us to grow in our intimacy with the Lord this week. I already feel the growth! I’m a completely new woman in Jesus than I was before I arrived. Praise the Lord!
I am part of a group of 7 girls and 1 guy who are all going to the Dominican! While at times it has been hard to connect and share hearts, the Lord has definitely blessed us! We are already so close and I am so excited to see how our relationships deepen as we continue to live life together and share the love of God with others. We have two amazing leaders whose hearts burn for God and I’m so blessed to have them leading me in this. They are amazing disciplers and I know the Lord will continue to use them to grow our hearts and minds! We also participated in some really fun activities this week! Squad wars (a day of games competing with all of the other teams going on different trips). We also did a ton of team building games! It was super fun! I am so grateful for this community I’ve built! (I’ve attached some images of my squad!)
We fly early the morning of September 12th into Santo Domingo. We will be based in Jarabacoa with a ministry named Mission of Hope. This is where our host families will be and where a lot of our ministry will take place. However, our mission will not be limited to only Jarabacoa! We will travel all over the country sharing the Gospel!
Thank you to everyone at home praying for me and supporting me from affar! Some prayer requests for this week:
